"I just recently moved from PA and was searching for a beauty supply store.. Thank God i found Jaeda!! They have sooo much variety and the ladies were super nice. It is a little crowded on one side but you can't complain because of all of the selection!! Prices are good and their selection of human hair wigs was outstanding!! The wig I purchased was just put up on display and was the ONLY one they had. I found my NY beauty supply store today."

"I had a fantastic experience, everyone there was so nice. I went in knowing nothing about wigs they helped me find one I’m absolutely in love with and taught me how to put it in. The ladies who helped me showed so much kindness and patience and turned a situation I was really dreading into a very positive experience. I also briefly met who I assume to be the owner and he was very kind as well. I’ll definitely be going back for anything I need in the future but I would recommend this place to anyone. They had a good selection but the kindness they showed meant so much. The wig they helped me with was gorgeous and I felt like a new person walking out of there. "I’ve hesitated writing this review for years because I don’t frequent this location often, but I just can’t keep my mouth shut anymore and I’m SURE I’m not alone. Every time I have to visit this location (last resort, Wolf Road is my go-to), I have to mentally prepare before I even set foot in the door. There is one specific employee I do not look forward to interacting with, and while I’m sure she means well, I can’t for the life of me understand how she still maintains employment with this company. She is the most unprofessional retail worker I’ve ever encountered, has absolutely zero respect for anyone else’s time, inserts her unsolicited opinions any chance she gets regarding whatever you’re purchasing, will straight up stop mid-transaction to hold a full fledged conversation with someone else - be it someone in the store, a coworker or on the phone - she actually answered her cell phone (it did not sound like an emergency, although I could be mistaken), walked away after scanning 3/11 items on the counter without any warning and was gone for 7 minutes. When she returned to finish the transaction, she offered no apology or explanation, just kept scanning like nothing happened. I do not want to continue avoiding this store due to one employee’s lack of self awareness. I work 3 miles away and I purposely go down to Wolf Road to avoid interacting with her. The last straw was arriving on a Sunday a few weeks back, right before 12:00pm when the store opens, only for her to roll up at 12:08, lock the door behind her, and not unlock it again until she was finished “opening” at nearly 12:20pm. I can’t be the only person to complain about this woman (she’s much older than the other employees, the kind of person you can’t miss or forget). She IS nice and helpful in her own way, but her unprofessionalism is unmatched. If Cosmoprof values customer experience in the least, please consider overhauling the team at your Altamont Avenue store."

"this review is specific to the salon portion of ulta: do not go here. i have experience with doing my own hair many years ago. after growing out my (virgin, strong, brown) hair to the longest it's ever been (!) i decided i wanted a change. the conversation went really well with the stylist, however: the outcome was not what i asked for and my hair is completely dead (breaking off, extremely stretchy when wet, horrifying). i understand some damage is expected, but the stylist was extremely careless with my hair. we discussed a warm, honey blonde and i left with white, chunky highlights (it was not toned, it was lightened to this level, which is ridiculous). in addition, my stylist was not supported by this company. she had two appointments after me and was running behind on everything. she was alone the majority of the day. one of the managers came over to discuss the schedule and my appointment time slot as if i wasn't there, i smiled and attempted to make small talk without getting much of a reply. it all felt pretty rude. i have attempted to reach out to the salon manager multiple times. i received one initial voicemail but my last two attempts, i have not received a call back. my stylist was very kind and personable, but at this point, i may need to shave my head. photo was taken immediately after the appointment, my hair used to have ringlets. do. not. go. here."

"I visited the Schenectady Ulta Beauty Hair Salon today for the first time and was so impressed with the Stylist that provided me with THE BEST color and cut I’ve had in years! Mona was extremely knowledgeable about hair coloring and took the time before she did anything, to talk to me and really understand what I wanted and more importantly, what I didn’t want. Not only was she an expert colorist, she gave me a great cut that was so flattering. I am very grateful to have found Mona and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic cut and color!! The other bonus of getting my hair done at the Ulta Salon, when I was finished I grabbed my fave mascara on the way out!"

"Love the selection but when I need to come in the morning before taking clients they are never open in time. They are the only local beauty supply that opens early on a Sunday yet when I arrive at 9:15 (they open at 9) the doors are locked, no one in sight. This has happened at least about 4 times to me."
