"I’ve been a patron of this business for as many years as they have been open. Everyone who works there may not know my name, but they certainly know my face. I went in this evening to exchange the hair color I purchased 3 weeks ago. I inadvertently grabbed the wrong color. I no longer had the receipt, but I figured it shouldn’t be a problem because it would be an even exchange…plus they know me, or so I thought. I approached the register and asked the Asian lady behind the counter if I could make the exchange. She asked if I had the receipt, and I told her I did not. She began to examine the box and she could see that it was unopened. I sensed her hesitation, and I didn’t really want any hassle over a $7 box of hair color. I told her no worries and that I would just purchase another box. I made my way over to the aisle that the hair color was in, and grabbed another box of the correct color. Meanwhile she said something to the Asian gentleman who was there and he grabbed the hair color out of my hand and yelled that it was his! I was stunned like what is your problem? I told him that I’m going to purchase it. He made the assumption that I was going to walk out with the hair color. He totally disrespected me and made an assumption that was completely false. I told him that I would never purchase anything from that store again. He did apologize, but it was too late. The damage was done. I told him I accepted his apology, but I can no longer patronize his business and God Bless him. I will not give my money to a business that does not respect me."

"So I go in this store frequently & there was never a problem until today so I’m guessing they have a new worker I kid you not he never took his eyes off of me. There wasn’t anybody in the store I felt him watching me so I turns around every time I turned around I made eye contact with him. Then everytime I make eye contact with him he’ll ask am I ready yet. Kind of rude , once she insulted me because I purchased a human hair wig from amazon she basically told me I don’t know how to take care of. They need a better selection of wigs and colors. "My first impression upon entering the store: it is clean, very well lit, well stocked, very organized and extremely neat - and it was Saturday! I spent a few minutes looking at a vast array of crochet braids. A gentleman asked if I needed help. He was friendly and welcoming. He directed me to the area of the store I inquired about & left me to peruse the selection. A while later, a friendly woman asked if I needed help (I know I looked confused, so I'm really glad she came to me.) She helped me make my selections. I am always pleased when folks allow me to browse in the store & offer help if a floor person is on duty. No one hovered or did anything to make me feel uncomfortable. I happily shopped for about 30 minutes. The prices are competitive, lots of parking spaces and in a great location. I look forward to returning for additional products."

"I went to this business to use his notary services. This guy running this store is a cheap one. I didn't know that by law, he could only charge me $2.00 for each notary signature. He charged me $5.00. He's not supposed to charge that. I went to him, he didn't come to me. I will never do business with this junk shop again. Why are people so greedy and willing to take advantage? "OMG the owner of this shop is so kind and he made me feel very welcomed while shopping for a wig. He was attentive to every customer so he has great multitasking skills. He answered all of my questions and HE ALLOWED ME TO TRY ON WIGS. Staten Island is the only borough that don't allow people to try on wigs and it's ridiculous I'd like to try before I buy and at urban beauty it's allowed. The rude service at the beauty supply store on forest avenue next to stop and shop is disgusting and now that I've found urban beauty I will never go back to the forest avenue hair shop ever again. I HIGHLY reccomend this store they have a wide variety of beauty items and perfect customer service, THANK YOU 😄"

I don’t know if it’s a new guy working there or he’s newly in charge but gives me a problem that I can’t buy anything although I have a form and always come in there. Telling me that my family member has to be there with me which is ridiculous because then what’s the point of the form and I’ve been going there for so long. On top of that was completely nasty about it and wanted to announce it to the whole store. there’s definitely much better places to go for hair professionals then this place nothing but attitude."
